Raid Protection

Offline Raid Protection

Offline Raid Protection (ORP) shields your base while nobody in your tribe is online. You set it up once — place your ORP unit — and from then on, whenever your whole tribe logs off, your bases are protected map-wide. The moment anyone logs back in, protection drops and you defend live. This makes offline raids much harder on weeknights — but you’re not invincible, and weekends are fair game (more below).

Protection does not work until your tribe has an ORP unit placed — this is the one thing you have to do.

  • Craft the Lethal Protection Shield from your inventory and place it somewhere safe in your base. That’s your ORP unit. (You can also stand where you want it and run /setorp.)
  • Once it’s placed, protection runs map-wide — every base and structure your tribe owns is covered when you’re offline, not just the area around the unit.
  • Use /showorp to flash it on screen, or /removeorp to take it down. You can’t add or remove it while you’re raid-flagged.
  • No ORP unit = no protection. Place it before you log off for the night.
  • With your ORP unit placed, protection is map-wide — every base and structure your tribe owns is covered, not just the area around the unit.
  • It doesn’t switch on the instant you log out. Protection kicks in 60 minutes after your last tribe member logs off. Your tribe log shows “ORP is now Activated.”
  • If your tribe was raid-flagged when the last member logged off, activation is delayed by an extra 90 minutes. Logging off mid-raid doesn’t save you.
  • The moment any tribe member logs back in, protection switches off — you’re online, you defend.
  • Your tribe log tells you when protection turns on and off, so you always know where you stand.

While your tribe is offline and protected, on a weekday:

  • Your structures take 66% less damage
  • Your dinos take 90% less damage
  • Your turrets deal 3× damage

Cave bases get protection too — but caves are weaker. Even with protection on, your cave walls break faster than a base out in the open, so a cave is a riskier place to leave your stuff offline. Here’s how much damage your walls take:

Online / no protection Weekday, protected Weekend, protected
Topside base normal (1×) about a third about half
Cave base 6× normal about 2× about 3×

Out in the open, protection makes your walls much tougher. In a cave they still take more hits than normal — protection helps, but a cave will never be as strong as a surface base. Caves are for players who want the extra risk.

From Friday 6pm to Monday midnight (CET/CEST — UTC+1 in winter, UTC+2 in summer), weekend rules apply instead:

  • Everything takes half damage — structures, dinos, the lot
  • No turret damage boost

Weekends are when raiding is meant to happen. Weekday nights are for sleeping easy.

When your base takes real damage from another tribe, your whole tribe is raid-flagged — you’ll see a buff icon and cooldown timer on screen. While the flag is up:

  • Shop, kit and sell commands are blocked.
  • Transfers are blocked — no uploading or downloading to dodge the raid.
  • Tek teleporters, transmitters and replicators are blocked, and you can’t place or pick up tek floors.
  • Mass-dropping your loot is blocked — no popcorning your boxes to deny the raiders.

The flag clears 10 minutes after the damage stops. Check it with /raid.

Damaging another player out in the world puts a World PvP flag on both of you — same blocks (shop, transfers, teleporters), but this one’s short: the flag lasts 30 seconds and each new hit resets it. You can’t tap someone and run to the obelisk.

Protection isn’t fit-and-forget:

  • Log in regularly. If nobody in your tribe logs in for around 10 days, your protection lapses — just log back in to keep it running.
Command What it does
/setorp Set your tribe’s ORP unit where you’re standing
/showorp Flash your ORP on screen so you can see it
/removeorp Remove your tribe’s ORP unit
/protection Check any admin-granted raid-protection time you have
/raid Check your raid cooldown timer
/tribeid Show your tribe ID
  • Protection makes your base tougher to break — it’s not a wall. Enemies can still walk right into your base.
  • Your tribe log records it all: protection turning on and off, and any structures destroyed while you were protected.
  • Admins can grant a tribe temporary Raid Protection — 100% damage reduction for a set number of hours, case by case.
  • Campfires and sleeping bags are ignored by the protection system.
